Hi! My name is Tegan and I’m the face behind the blog. I live in Rockhampton, Queensland with my son.
I have Borderline Personality Disorder and Depression. I started this blog in 2011 so that I could have a space to vent and get the words out of my head. It’s now morphed into this wonderful space of sharing. I share my story to help reduce stigma and to make people feel like they are less alone in their struggles.
Along with sharing my mental health experiences I also talk about the impact this has on my parenting. My son was born in 2009 and he completely turned my world upside down..for the better.
I also have a partner, Paul who is my sons father. We do things a little different and don’t live together. We may do things different but it doesn’t change the love we all have for each other. He loves us and we love him.
Hi Tegan,
Have just had a quick look at your blog and am excited to find great info on mental health issues. I look forward to following.
Hi Emma,
Glad to have you aboard. If you have any questions then don’t hesitate to ask 🙂
Hi, I awarded you the Awesome Blog Content (ABC) Award. Hope you have some fun with it as I did 🙂 http://travellingmacs.wordpress.com/2013/11/01/thanks-don-you-are-awesome/
Thanks, popping over now to have a look!
Hi Tegan 🙂 I’m happy to have come across another blogger who is passionate about mental health, like myself! I struggle mostly with very bad anxiety, but I have also had my stages of dealing with depression, an eating disorder, OCD, and have spent time in a psychiatric ward before…My hope is to raise more awareness of mental health issues and to try to reduce the stigma that is often attached to these topics…It is nice to have found someone who feels the same way 🙂 I look forward to reading more from you!
Hi Chantell! Thanks for your comment, it’s always great to find bloggers who are passionate about mental health awareness.
Love your work! And you’re funny farm sounds like the best kind of funny farm!
I’ve read your ‘About’ page before, but it’s nice to revisit via the Lounge. I think it’s good for the soul (and perhaps the mind) to think of one’s family as a funny farm. Most of our families are beautifully imperfect. Your devil spawn looks pretty cute to me though 🙂
Love your work too. Your mental health posts are always full of passion! Cheers for linking. Robo X
Short and sweet. Well, not so sweet perhaps, but that’s what makes it sweet. Ironic? Fitting? Can’t tell. x
Devil Spawn makes me giggle. Fairy wishes and butterfly kisses to you
