Built for Comfort

I must confess that when it comes to fashion, not just in the silly season but all year round, I go for comfort over fashion every time.  Leggings and maxi dresses make a regular appearance.

This year, we are staying home for the big day.  We aren’t expecting any visitors and I hope to sloth around the house most of the day.  This year is definitely a pants are optional Christmas, which really makes stuffing myself with all the goodness that is Christmas food that much easy.  No annoying waist bands digging in when you are in your best grundies.

I must also confess that I have, on occasion, told friends that I couldn’t meet up with them because my pants are now off for the day.  Once the pants get taken off then I am squarely done for the day.  Sorry.  Not sorry.

I must confess that in the case of unexpected visitors I may wear leggings as pants.  I will feel no shame at this.  They should be thankful I have pants on at all.

I must confess that I don’t really feel like I’m part of the sistahood because I don’t mind wearing a bra.  I have a bra on more than I have pants on.  The lovely (insert sarcasm font) part about Christmas in Aussie Land is that it is always stinking hot.  Wearing a bra reduces that icky underboob sweat that comes with humidity, size DD boobs and no bra.

I must confess that I often wear a dress because I am too lazy to put pants on. True story.

What are you go to fashions for summer?  Are you built for comfort too?

A pants-optional Christmas sooo appeals to me! Actually, I did go to Christmas lunch in my pyjamas a couple of years ago because I was pregnant and sick and pretty proud of myself for just making it to the table. Getting dressed was just one step too far. These days I like to keep it classy tho – maxi dress styles for looks and comfort…

LOL you used the Sorry. Not. Sorry. I have a little go about that on the blog and fb today. Sorry. Not. Sorry.

I like your idea of slothing around I might join you. I’ve been picking up scatter my family leaves around the house and wrapping it. I might not have to buy gifts at all.
