Flowers can speak a 1000 words

*I was asked to write this post for Fresh Flowers as part of their Valentines day campaign for February month of love! I was compensated for this post but the thoughts are my own*

Flowers have a special ability.  They can speak when we don’t know the words.  It sounds strange I know, and I didn’t believe it until I received my first bunch of flowers.  Flowers can say a 1000 words.  They can say ‘I love you’, ‘I hope you get well soon’ or ‘Please forgive me’.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock then you will know that the 14th of February is Valentine’s Day.  The day of love, of letting your partner or crush know that you are thinking of them.  I love that there is a day that gives us reason to stop and think about the love we have in our life.

A lot of people have an issue with Valentine’s Day, saying that they don’t need a day to tell their partner that they love them.  I say we do.  Life is busy.  Between jobs, kids and all of the things they entail it is easy to take our partners for granted.  I think it’s great that there is a day that we can set aside to remind us of love.

Love is a beautiful thing.  Why not have a day where we celebrate it?  I love giving Paul things that show how much I love him and care about him.  Maybe it makes me materialistic, but I don’t care.  I enjoy giving him things, I enjoy making him happy.

The people at Fresh Flowers have all of your flower needs.  They offer same day delivery on orders made by 1pm and guarantee the quality of their flowers.  They have a great range so check out their Valentine’s Day roses quick before they sell out!

I love flowers, but back when we still cared about such things, I made Bruce agree never to buy me flowers on Valentine’s Day. I would see them triple and quadruple in price in the shops on that day and it just PISSED ME OFF! I don’t mind mark up, but this was ridiculous. Mind you this was in So Cal and I’m not sure if it’s the same in Oz, I haven’t really looked.

But you can all send me flowers any other time of the year you like 🙂 Love them. Nothing says I love you like flowers, for me anyway 🙂

I agree, Tegan, flowers are important – they’re symbols of how we feel.

On Valentine’s Day, my husband used to leave his own school, ride his motorbike to my school and hand deliver flowers and chocolates. He’d leave them on my desk in the staffroom so that when I got back from class, they’d be there. Such a poignant, romantic memory.
    🙂
