I joined in with Little White Dove’s 13 books in 2013 challenge last year and although I didn’t blog about my end results I smashed my goal of 13 books. So when I saw that Little White Dove had issued another challenge this year I decided to jump in again.
This year the challenge is smaller but a great way to get those books that have been sitting on your must-read list for as long as you can remember. The challenge is called Five from Forever in Fourteen. The idea behind the challenge is to read 5 books that you’ve told yourself you’d read *someday*. I’m going to go one step further though and read one book a month that is on my *to-read* list.
So far I only have a couple of books, so I would love your input for some new, different books. I’m open to most genres but I have to say that I am not a huge fan of soppy romantic ones. These are the books that I have on my list:
Jack of Diamonds by Bryce Courtenay
Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson
The Help by Kathryn Stockett
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer
Do you enjoy reading? Do you read as much as you hope to?
Despite a very tattered copy sitting on my bookshelf, I have never read ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’… One day…
I read it at school and was really not impressed at all. It was one of the most boring books I have ever read!
So glad to have you playing along again! You are the second person I saw to have The Help on their list, so I’m definitely adding it to my list. And Bridge to Terabithia is fab! Good luck with your challenge this year 🙂
Thank you for hosting!
