Love really is what makes the world go around. It comes in all shapes and forms but the kind that I am talking about today is the unconditional kind. The kind of love that allows you to still love someone even though they drive you up the bloody wall. A lot of people think that this kind of love is reserved for close family but really it’s a very individual thing. Today however, in the interest of keeping things personal I am talking about how having my son taught me to love.
Today he is 4. He’s a little person who is still learning the ropes, we both us. Forging our way through, stumbling, falling and getting back up again. I have no doubt that I regularly screw up and I’m not always doing things right but he loves me and I love him. He drives me up the wall and makes me so cranky I think I might burst. Then he says the funniest random things that make me laugh until I have tears streaming down my face.

Happy Birthday little man! Kids are truly love personified Tegan. 🙂
He’s gorgeous. Hope he loved his pressies. My children also filled a huge hole in my heart. The other night we were laughing so hard at something daft my daughter did, the three of us together, me and my 16 and nearly 13 year old, and I thought my gawd how lucky I am to still be laughing with them. That sort of love is what makes it worth getting out of bed, some mornings 🙂
Lovely pics!! I hope your son had a lovely birthday. My eldest is 4 1/2 and she drives me up the wall most days. Popping by via the FYBF linky 🙂
Happy Birthday to your little man. My daughter just turned 5 and I can’t believe how fast the time has gone. It is amazing what these little people do to you.
Happy birthday little superhero! 🙂
Happy birthday to him! Beautiful post tegan.
Happy birthday to DS! Hopefully I get to experience this kind of love sometime in the next week. 7 days to go!
He is adorable! I hope he had a very happy birthday. My boys drive me crazy at times too but I wouldn’t be without them.
He is so very cute – and yes they sure teach us parents along the parenting journey. Happy Birthday Super Hero
Happy birthday little man! Isn’t it crazy how they open you up to so much feeeeelings! Well done to you mummy too x
Tegan, such a gorgeous post. They teach us more about love than we could ever otherwise hope to know. He is looking quite the handsome man at four!
Happy birthday to your special man! I know that feeling of being driven completely insane by someone you couldn’t love anymore if you tried 🙂 x
Happy Birthday Mr 4! It’s such a lovely milestone. Our little man turned 4 this year as well … doesn’t that time fly! Such a gorgeous age … have fun 🙂 Cheers, Alison
Happy birthday to your gorgeous DS and well done to you! I think parents should be celebrated as much as their kids whose birthday it is, especially in this early years. So congrats all ’round!

What a cute little superhero! Lovely story 🙂
Loved this the first time and still do. My boys have certainly taught me so much – to be more patient and not judge others. Gorgeous post.
Happy birthday! And love the Batman pic!
